Respect yourself, respect others and respect the environment.  These words are the guiding compass for all Abintra community members-- students, board members, faculty, and parents. 

The buildings on Abintra’s campus have been sited to preserve as much land as possible. The two buildings that we constructed are “green” buildings. A pond and woods on six acres were donated by a generous parent in 1997.  Subsequent developments in West Nashville have made this area a haven for area wildlife.  Living in concert with the environment is an intentional choice.

Elementary students conduct stream study

On campus this means that we reduce, reuse, and recycle.  From early childhood through middle school students compost and recycle.  It is a daily practice, part of self care and self sufficiency.  It is not only a part of our curriculum it is the way we live with integrity in the world.
